A never ending series of montages set to "hip" music, with bitchy women and great clothes. Anne Hathaway is is unconvincing as a dowdy wannabe journalist but passably convincing as she transforms into a clothes-horse. Stanley Tucci steals every scene he is in and Meryl Streep's barely-audible Anna Wintour makes me wonder why she was nominated for an Emmy.

The movie ends in a predictable and unconvincingly manner.

This wholly uncomfortable movie by Woody Allen slowly ratchets up the suspense, but never seems to leave the path already taken. Scarlett Johansson, playing the sultry temptress to a "T" works well as a foil to the drab English landscape, unfortunately delivers stiling dialogue; Johansson excels at the understated sensuality of movement and minimalism in certain scenes and most notably in Lost in Translation.

At two hours this movie will not waste your time (like other Allen movies), but it still doesn't quite deliver where it should.
