Filibuster Frist Update

filibuster frist

Hot damn, the students at Princeton we talked about before who are filibustering outside the Frist Campus Center are still going strong! Filibustering for over 242 hours straight through night, rain, and heckling, they have been doing a great job engaging the campus, and the nation at large, on the virtue of the filibuster.

The students have been featured on CNN and MSNBC's Hardball among other national press including the NY Times - Filibuster at Princeton Sends Frist a Message, and an article written by a filibusterer is in The Nation entitled, Keep Talking. The list of their media mentions continues to grow with each day they continue.

Besides having students speak, 2004 Nobel Laureate in Physics co-recipient Frank Wilczek spoke, numerous professors , and numerous elected officials such as NJ Congressman Frank Pallone and NJ Congressman Rush Holt spoke out in support of the filibuster.

Now they are raising money in order to help defray the costs of the filibuster, and for seed money in order to launch filibusters at other college campuses. Check out the main website, Filibuster Frist, the Blog, and photos and audio from the Filibuster.

Keep it up!
