Bush Administration wants secret arrests
DOMESTIC SECURITY ENHANCEMENT ACT OF 2003 [or PATRIOT Act II] which would permit some dasterdly activites:-
Section 102
Allows the bypass of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act Court [FISA Court], which oversees the different intelligence branches, "to authorize electronic surveillance for up to a year"
[amend 50 U.S.C. § 1802] -
Section 111
Changes legal definition of terrorists to an "Foreign Power"
"includes groups engaged in international terrorism or preparations therefor, foreign-based political organizations not substantially composed of U.S. persons, and entities directed and controlled by foreign governments."
[amend 50 U.S.C. §§ 1805(e) and 1824(d)]
And we thought the terrorists hadn't won.
