When the web crosses with pop culture

If you were watching ED last night, you would have seen Peanut Butter Jelly Time, or at least the beginning of it. Turn up your speakers [flash req'd]. I still cannot get over the fact that the web is is such a pop-culture meme machine. I guess I still remember the web as a bunch of bbs's, web 'vines, and "personal pages." Not that I want to go back to that, but I still think of the web as a little community, not the gigantic machine that it is now.
